Minority Leader Harold Jones Releases Statement on FBI Raid of Fulton County Elections Office
Atlanta, Ga. — Senate Minority Leader Harold Jones II (D-Augusta) released the following statement:
“Once again, we’re speaking on Donald Trump using the FBI as his personal police force to raid the Fulton County elections office. This comes on the heels of Georgia Republicans demanding Secretary Raffensperger break the law and hand over our personal information to the Trump DOJ.
“We live in this reality because Republicans are scared to death of telling Donald Trump no. He can break the law, his federal agencies can kill Americans, and he can use the FBI however he likes. You won’t hear one word from Georgia Republicans saying he’s wrong.
“Let’s be clear — Donald Trump lost in 2020, he can’t accept that he lost, and we’re all paying the price of electing this wannabe strongman. You’ll hear more from our Caucus on the floor tomorrow.”
