A promise for an affordable, prosperous Georgia
For nearly 25 years, the Georgia Senate has been controlled by special interests and MAGA extremists. The Contract for the Majority is our pledge to you: 10 common-sense solutions to end the affordability crisis, protect our democracy, and ensure every Georgian can dream the American Dream again. If you give us the majority in 2027, we will deliver.
1. Raise Georgia's Wages
Georgians need a RAISE. The RAISE Act increases the state minimum wage for the first time in 25 years, repeals laws that let former bosses control where you work after you leave, outlaws employers from not paying you your full paycheck, and helps make our workforce AI proof.
2. Lower Electric Bills, Data Center Accountability
Our electric bills are too high. Utility companies pay fancy lawyers and lobbyists big money to keep them that way. Our Consumers’ Utility Counsel gives you a voice in how much utilities cost — big tech, you’ll be paying for your own data centers soon.
3. Make Healthcare Affordable
Expand Medicaid and newly cover almost 500,000 Georgians, lowering prices for everyone, and keeping our rural hospitals open.
4. Defend Voting Rights
End voter suppression by passing the Voting Rights Act — prohibit racial discrimination in voting, protect the voting rights of vulnerable groups, and ensure free and fair elections.
5. End the Housing Crisis
Build new housing at a historic rate and crack down on predatory Wall Street investors buying up Georgia homes and killing the American Dream.
6. Guarantee Universal Childcare
A massive one time investment in a new child care trust fund will create universal access to care for every child in Georgia.
7. Fully Fund Public Schools
Modernize our school funding and ensure students and teachers can succeed in modern classrooms — no matter what zip code their school is in.
8. Equal Rights for All
GOP obstruction stopped the federal Equal Rights Amendment — we’ll add the ERA to Georgia’s Constitution and pass a statewide Civil Rights Act to ensure universal protection from discrimination.
9. Restore Reproductive Freedom
Politicians will never again make your medical decisions or force birth on Georgians. Our Constitution and state law will guarantee reproductive freedom for everyone.
10. Protect Retirement Benefits
Make sure inflation doesn’t destroy seniors’ pensions by giving state retirees a guaranteed COLA increase.
